Good morning Ohmees!!
As always, I am feeling especially blessed and am so happy to have you stopping by the blog to say hi. This past week felt like a roller coaster of emotions (hello full moon) and I couldn’t be any happier that today is the start of a fresh & new week.
This week I truly realized I live on the magical island! Living in the Cap the past few years has been quite the adventure. We have made friends (which was very apparent this weekend), made a home and created a beautiful life I am so excited to be a part of. This weekend as we dog sat for a friend of ours, I realized how much we truly belonged and had become ingrained within the community. Although Journey to Hope has been operating for almost 2 years, and I’ve been living here just a long….it really hit home this weekend!
On top of last weeks first contract at work (yay!), I have been hard at work both in my daytime job and for you all!! I’m working on rearranging a few areas on the website to make this blog a better fit for us all, as well as looking into a new camera in order to share my photos, newest mala beads and so much more with you in a better light (literally & figuratively). I also made a handful of meditation malas and mala bracelets that have already sold! I will be posting them in the Work With Me section and hope that as I begin to create more pieces, you’ll check them out!!
I’ve also been doing a lot of work on The Ahimsa Project. I’m so excited to be re-launching this project in the fall and to be working with Lollie Videography again on the concept, as well as a new jewelry designer to create a special and beautiful surprise for each of you if you join in on our yoga/meditation/self-love journey. It will be 6 weeks of yoga classes online, meditation podcasts and how-tos, altar design ideas, self-love projects and so much more! I cannot WAIT to share the full details with you soon.
The Little Things
Cuddling on the couch with all my men (Turk included this weekend), toddlers & babies gracing our home, running in the backyard with two adorable pups, snuggling with Digger at the end of a long weekend {for him}, reading Crime & Punishment (seriously, why have I never read this book?), brushing up on aruveyda for the upcoming training weekend, creating a great playlist for class on Friday & sharing it with you all on Saturday morning, French brunch with hubby, dinner with old friends, understanding the importance of a life and comforting family & friends as they experienced loss, my new yoga pants (!!!) from The Paisley Rooster, chaibomb lattes with Nadia, practicing yoga in our backyard, purchasing Michael Buble tickets for mom, grandma & I, planning a look book for our home & my fall wardrobe, wearing fun jewelry and feeling inspired… and watching TED Talks and The Next Food Network Star!!
I hope you find room in your heart today for an attitude of gratitude and count your blessings. Life is so short and we never know what will happen in any given moment. Take a moment to say I love you to your partner, family and/or friends. Take a moment to let it all soak in and understand that each day is a blessing.
Sending you love, happiness & rainbows!
Get out there, do yoga & make life sparkle!!!
Sat Nam,
Jenny
