Best. Weekend. Ever! ….or at least in a long time.
Hubby & I traveled up to NH late Friday night. We were greeted by Bentley giving Apollo a few kisses (and then a run for his money), as well as cousin and brother hugs, chex-mix and cake. Our crazy weekend in Wolfeboro spanned one and a half days for me and two full days for Karthik as we spun in circles of bliss, paddle boarding, tubing, swimming, and far too much food. My family enjoyed eating lobsters and I ate salad {just not my thing to crack open animals..} but EVERYONE else had a blast! We laughed, we talked, we beached and we had two stragglers who fit right into our crazy, loud & fun family. We talked Christmas {in August}, went for long walks, discussed the future, took naps and played glow-in-the-dark frisbee. But most of all, we sunk. We sunk deep into the bliss that comes with feeling true love and contentment. Our family is growing as we all get older and it is the most amazing feeling and the best experience to be a part of and to watch. I love them all so very much and realize it more and more every time we’re together.
But wait… it gets better! After I left New Hampshire I drove straight into the arms of my very best & oldest friend {our friend-aversary was 26 years this May} and watched her try on wedding dresses!!! Granted she made me watch for 5 hours, and dress her, and lace her and accidentally touch her bum a few times… but then I was fed and all was good again. Oh yeah…. and she got the most rockin’ wedding dress ever and will be a beautiful bride.
The week AND weekend has consisted of more towel washing and sleepovers than we have had in a long time and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have them. Come one, come all!!!
